Once again Sprinkle has her main character Sheila Travis involved in solving a crime in a Georgia town. Her descriptions of the characters and the background ring true to the Southern landscape. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. A good plot, bringing forward actions from many decades before. There were a lot of characters, but one can manage them.
There is a little interesting twist that I liked. Overall, I would recommend this book. I bought the whole series.

Fun to read in order. Passed on to Mom and then sister. Good mystery set in Atlanta's 'Old Money" Buckhead area. Interesting, well-drawn characters, and a murder mystery that went back decades I can honestly say that I didn't 'figure it out' until almost the very end! These good friends had secrets they kept from each other. It was interesting to see how these secrets were revealed at the end of the book.
However it was hard to keep up with who was who and I had to keep going back to the first of the book to figure out who they were. Sprinkle is pretty good. This out of print mystery was only available on the Kindle. It was a satisfying read with some surprises as to who done it.

Recommend all of this author's works. I usually love anything written by Patricia Sprinkle, especially her new geneology mystery series, but this one was bogged down in so much Southerness that I could easily have given up reading it before page The fact it cost me more than a regular paperback kept me going.

I lived near Atlanta for 10 years and they were a great 10 years meeting wonderful Southerners, but this novel never kept my interest. By the time the mystery got going and became interesting it was almost page Borrow it from a library, but save yourself the money and get a mystery with a bit more punch to it early on that keeps the momentum going the whole way through.
